Does
Elevated Job Stress Affect Smoking Levels?
[ send
me this paper ]
An 70 page expanded version of a much smaller paper
researching the hypothesis that smokers in high-stress
jobs tend to smoke more in response to stress than do
smokers in jobs with lower stress levels. Though there was
no existing research with which to guide the study, it
still obtains solid and statistically valid results that
unquestioningly prove that a smoker's response to a
high-stress job is that of smoking more than usual.
Existing literature emphasizes the relationship between
stress and depression, and also that between smoking and
depression. Biochemical and psychological research has
concluded that there is a strong relationship between
smoking and clinical depression, though it is unclear
which contributes to the other. This survey does not
specifically address depression, but it does give valuable
insight to the relationship of stress-related smoking and
workplace stress. Includes 4 charts and 4 tables.
Bibliography lists 72 sources.

The
Cost Of Depression
[ send
me this paper ]
It is a somewhat obvious observation that there are many
levels and types of cost associated with depression. The
financial aspects reach into almost every aspect of life
for the individual, businesses and the nation. The
emotional cost is also of extreme importance, however, is
not easily measured or compensated. This 7 page paper
asserts that the influences on the cost of depression are
so varied for each individual and every situation that it
is difficult to put a price tag on the diagnosis,
treatment and repercussions of this debilitating disease
and it's consequences. Bibliography lists 10 sources.

Date
Rape
[ send
me this paper ]
A 7 page paper which discusses the occurrence of date rape
and presents an intervention involving education as a
possible solution to the problem. Too often the reason for
date rape is inability to communicate so that the other
understands. Currently, the methods approached primarily
address what the woman can do to prevent date rape, and
rarely do we see the men approached or taught about date
rape and their responsibility. The intervention addresses
group talks which will enable men and women in colleges to
better learn to communicate and understand the
implications and the seriousness of date rape.

The
Crime of Rape / Analyzed From a Radical - Conflict
Perspective
[ send
me this paper ]
5 pages in length. Applying this well-documented crime
theory, the writer attempts to analyze rape as a crime
whose actors can be motivated by such things as an
egocentric need for self-fulfillment and a lack of concern
or respect for others. Various sides of the issue are
discussed from a theoretical perspective and a number of
insightful examples are provided. Bibliography lists 3
sources.
