Proposal
into Research in Domestic Violence
[ send
me this paper ]
An 8 page research proposal seeking to determine whether
women of higher socioeconomic status truly are less likely
to report domestic abuse. The premise here is that those
women of higher socioeconomic levels are less likely to
report domestic violence. They frequently have images to
uphold in the community, and their husbands often have
greater influence and financial resources, often used to
thwart efforts by intervention agencies or even the local
courts. Bibliography lists 6 sources.

Psychosocial
Functioning Of The Family
[ send
me this paper ]
14 pages in length. Lisa was fed up with hiding the fact
that she was a lesbian. While she was not quite sure how
her family would react to such news, she had reached the
end of her rope; no longer could she continue living a
lie. If her mom and dad are not receptive to her sexual
orientation, she pondered, she was old enough to live on
her own. To be sure, living in a house where homosexuality
is a dirty word is no place for Lisa. Her brother, on the
other hand, would be openly accepting of her alternative
lifestyle, inasmuch as he had always been the underdog who
can relate to being different. Would that automatically
brand her family as dysfunctional, even though her parents
were pillars of the community? On the outside, Lisa and
her brother were always putting forth an image quite
removed from their real selves as a means by which to
uphold their parent's social representation. But now,
thought Lisa, it was time for her to relinquish the
deep-seated guilt associated with her well-to-do white
bread family and take back her own life. The writer
discusses how her family reacts to the news, as well as
how it impacts the family structure. Bibliography lists 17
sources.

Puerto
Rican Migration & The Quest For Social Equality
[ send
me this paper ]
Beginning with a history of reasons Puerto Ricans came to
the mainland, this 15 page research paper delves into the
psychology of today's new migrant and the need for
empathetic social service programs. It is argued that
Puerto Ricans can best be serviced by those who are of
their own culture, or at least -- of their Latin-America
background as it is difficult for anyone else to earn
necessary trust. Suggestions and specific cultural
examples are provided throughout. Bibliography lists 14
sources.

Recreation
For The Disabled
[ send
me this paper ]
In this 4 page paper, the writer examines community
recreation programs for disabled persons, the importance
of reinforcing achievements, techniques such as the use of
"sight words," and more. It is made clear that
many disabled people fail to participate in such
activities and that although a number of skills are
usually required, it is usually worthwhile for them to do
so. Participation is known to enhance exploration of the
environment, expanded repertoire of recreation skills,
increased opportunities for social interactions, and
improved physical fitness among disabled persons.
Bibliography lists 7 sources.
